Easibathe strengthens its presence in the North East

24 June 2013

David Richardson, an experienced salesman and Elliot McClurry, a young apprentice has joined national company Easibathe in the expansion of its sales team in the North East and Scotland.

A North East salesman for the past 12 years, David Richardson spent a number of years at
leading global brewer Coors and also at Coca Cola. Born in County Durham, David started his education at Dene House School moving on to study business at Hartlepool College.

"Although I had initially wanted a career in IT I quickly found out this wasn’t for me and sales became something I found to be very diverse and challenging," he explained.

David went on to work for First4Skills, one of the UK's biggest training providers before joining Easibathe as Business Development Manager for the North East and Scotland.

"I wanted to remain in the North East and join a firm with strong regional roots, a medium sized firm that retains close contact with clients yet is ambitious and growing," he added.

Elliot was born in Newcastle and studied at Whickham Comprehensive and Northumbria University before deciding that an apprenticeship scheme was what he wanted to do and has recently joined Easibathe’s sales division as a Sales Administrator.

“I decided that an apprenticeship would enable me to gain valuable experience whilst also achieving a recognised qualification. Although I have had previous experience in sales, the role at Easibathe looked varied with lots of scope to allow me to progress in a local firm”.

David and Elliot have joined the firm’s sales department at the head office in Gateshead, however, David will be operating across the whole of the North East and into Scotland.

Easibathe and Easiaccess’ Sales and Marketing manager Tracey Barker said: “We're pleased to welcome Elliot & Dave to Easibathe.  We believe that they will contribute significantly to the future growth of Easibathe and are delighted to have them on board at this exciting time".

Easibathe has over 20 years experience in specialist bathing adaptations, including wet rooms, en-suites, shower cubicles, seats, accessories and lots more. If you are considering bathroom improvements they can advise on a variety of showering options to suit various needs and design requirements.  Both David and Elliot can be contacted on 0191 460 2777 or visit
